Ah You Muckrakers, You Bloggers of Maine

So, back in the home place, some dude is unhappy that his tax dollars are being spent paying an out of state ad agency to do a tourism campaign for the state. (Out of staters (aka "people from away") are a source of some consternation to Mainers.) Also, he evidently is none too pleased about the quality of the campaign. So he blogs about it. Ad agency finds out about it when blog shows up on google searches, serves dude with cease and desist order. Dude blogs about that. About a zillion people link to his blog. Traditional media sites start writing about it. Ad agency learns an object lesson about not suing bloggers. Found this story off of Neil Gaiman's journal.
