Augustine Gears Up

The Augustine Volcano in Alaska has started spewing out even more ash and has been upgraded to condidtion RED (significant eruption in progress) by the USGS. The ash cloud is now over 25,000 feet high and pyroclastic flows have been observed. The USGS reports that the volcano has been in a state of continuous eruption for 24 hours now.
