RIP Hunter S Thompson

Bad craziness, man! Gonzo journalist Hunter S Thompson is dead at 67 of a self inflicted gunshot wound. :-( Thompson invented the style of jounalism he called Gonzo back in the 60s and 70s. He is probably best known for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which has been made most recently into a film starring Johhny Depp and Benicio del Toro. I became familiar with his work when a good friend of mine gave me a copy of Generation of Swine for Christmas (Or was it a birthday? I forget.). It has widely been described as a suicide, although given his well known penchant for drugs, alcohol, and guns, I wouldn't be surprised if it were unintentional.
