New York AG Halts Sale of World Trade Center Silver Dollars

If you watch late night TV like I do, you have probably have seen the ads for the Silver dollars released to collectors, made of .999 pure silver found on the site of the Twin Towers after 9/11 and authorized by the federal government. Well, according to New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer. they aren't federally approved and they're silver plated. Of course, even if all their claims were true, this would still be in terrible, terrible taste in my opinion; making mementos out of the suffering of others. Anyway, he's got a court order to stop the sale of these things. Nice to see there's some decency left in this Rotten Ole World. [article]
