Mothers: A Warning...

Board games are a gateway to more serious activities. First it starts out with playing Settlers or Carcasonne or Apples to Apples. Then you might play an occasional game of Magic. Without realizing it, though, you find yourself making characters to play a campaign in D&D. Next I'll be going to a Star Trek convention. Where did I put those miniatures? :-)

Um, you went to Comic Con. That's about as bad as it gets... It's the Heroin of the gaming world.

The miniatures? They're over there next to the Star Wars technical blueprints...

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! I never had Star Wars technical manuals. :-) Actually, I never even had any Star Wars action figures. Go figure.

And I only played the Star Trek board game a few times. :-)

Don't bother warning my mother. She's the one with a box full of unopened Star Wars action figures.

And I, due to lack of board game enthusiasm in the home, have turned to the Web to fulfill my competitive needs:

What? No interest in board games in the home? You could come to my home. :-) I have a plethora of board games here. We could have a semi-regular game night or something like that.
